7 Day Appointments
There are 7 day appointments with GPs, Practice Nurses & Healthcare Assistants available in Stockport on Saturdays 09:00-15:00 and Sundays 09:00-13:00. Just call us on our usual number to ask to make a booking.
Our Doctors and Nurses try hard to run to time - please help them by limiting your consultation to one problem and book another slot if you need to. Please bear in mind when there is a delay it can be because someone is very distressed and needs compassion.....
What to do if you have a flu like illness
If you're otherwise fit and healthy, there's usually no need to see a doctor if you have flu-like symptoms.
The best remedy is to rest at home, keep warm and drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. You can take paracetamol or ibuprofen to lower a high temperature and relieve aches if necessary.
Stay off work or school until you're feeling better. For most people, this will take about a week.

65+ Men
A simple scan can tell you if you have an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Men aged 65+ are most at risk. Eligible patients will be invited to attend clinics from August 2016.
Men over the age of 65 who would like a scan can do so by ringing the AAA Screening Office on 0161 291 5716 and providing their NHS number.
